Architects Release a Video for New Song 'Downfall'

Brighton (UK) based rock act Architects have shared a video for their new track ‘Downfall‘ off their upcoming album, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, out – May 27 on Epitaph.

The five members of the band – front-man Sam Carter, bassist Ali Dean, guitarists Adam Christianson and Tom Searle, plus the latter’s twin brother drummer, Dan Searle recorded their seventh studio album in Sweden at Gothenburg’s Studio Fredman: home to the production team Fredrik Nordstrom and Henrik Udd.

There, they would chew over some of the biggest questions facing mankind. Musically, ‘All Our Gods…’ is the heaviest and darkest work to which the band have ever put their name, both on and below its surface. It challenges, progresses, and embraces its inspirations. The worldwide anger and disillusion encapsulated on these tracks wrestles with contemplation of death, god and faith in search of some semblance of hope for a world increasingly consumed by fear, anger and confusion.

All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us is receiving great early critical acclaim from the British rock music press. Please find a selection of the firs reviews below:

“They now belong in an elite group alongside Deftones, Meshuggah, Converge and The Dillinger Escape Plan: bands that defy categorization and simply are themselves” – Metal Hammer (9/10)
“Bleak. Brutal.. Life affirming”(..) “It’ll shake your body. It’ll shake your beliefs. It’ll shake you”  – Kerrang (5/5)
“This cements their position as one of the world’s most exciting, vital bands, and it’s unlikely you’ll hear many (if any) more impactful records in 2016” – Rock Sound (9/10)

To celebrate the album release, Architects will be doing a live Periscope Q&A with their fans tonight  May 26, at 21:00hrs CET/ 8pm UK.

Architects will be playing two album release shows this weekend, European festival circuit this summer, and United Kingdom in November this year. Stay tuned for more European dates to be announced.
